This is young Mika Burnette. We found her in the village of Madamn Bauje. When we first saw her we thought that she was about nine-months-old, but we later found out that she was two-years-old. Because of severe malnutrition, she was unable to walk. Her elderly grandmother was trying to care for her, but her stepmother didn’t want her around. We brought her to our Love A Child Orphanage, fed her and gave her lots of love. Today she is a strong and healthy little girl who is very outgoing with a sweet smile.
