This young boy is Colin. Several years ago, he came to us from a mountain village. The only “mother” he has ever known had cooked a pot of rice for the family. When everyone had eaten, little Colin stuck his hand into the cooking pot to scrape out the last few grains of rice. This infuriated his father, who held his hand in the burning coals for punishment. The Government of Haiti assigned Colin to us, and his father left. Shortly after that, a bad man came into their home to rape the woman. She screamed for help, the man ran, and people in the village killed him! However, the woman, Madamn Marie, was sent to prison for three years. They just released her this month. We would like to give Madamn Marie some help.
