Jackson (Jasson in Creole), has had his share of health problems since he had Kwashiorkor Malnutrition. That’s when we brought him in from the mountains. His belly was “huge” and full of water and fluid. For a while, he seemed to get better and we were receiving some special medicine for him, from the states. But, that stopped and Jasson grew much worse.
Our doctor, Dr. Barthelemy, from the Jesus Healing Center, took him to a specialist. They have made the provision incision for him to have dialysis. While he was at the hospital in Croix Des Bouquet (about an hour and a half from us), we got word that he would need people to donate blood, we grabbed four of our older children and put them in our ambulance with Volcey, the driver. They would all be donating blood. They were there at the Blood Bank “all day,” and in the meantime, the Papaya Gang took over, hitting the Police Station in Croix Des Bouquet. They were shooting at the Police and shooting at everyone else. Our children had to stay at the Blood Bank and wait for them to “give them blood” to take to the hospital where Jasson was. They waited all day. Finally, the Blood Bank gave them a container for the blood, and it took more hours for them to put blood into the container!! Finally, the blood was sent to Jasson by the hospital, and our children were brought home by our ambulance and driver!
The doctor told us he would let us know the cost of the dialysis but it is estimating at $20,000 USD. We ask your prayers for Jasson and for the funds to get him this dialysis, thanks so much, Sherry
