Thank you to all of you who have helped us purchase rice, beans, and cooking oil in the Dominican Republic. We should be able to start sending our trucks there on Friday, Lord willing. We are waiting for the prices to be finalized. We did not know it was illegal to bring rice, beans, and cooking oil across the border from the Dominican Republic (among 20 other items), but praise to Lord, we received permission yesterday from the government of Haiti to bring our food across the border!

The crisis here in Haiti is because of the economic problems, huge government problems, fuel shortages, roadblocks, riots, and protestors. It has been unbelievable!

For the last four or five days, it’s been better and you can travel easier. I received an email yesterday telling me of three areas where the opposition is blocking the road from food and fuel deliveries. The bottom line is that they want the President to resign, so they can run things their way. We will be giving you more updates later…
