We first were acquainted with five-year-old Widlene and her baby sister when their mother appeared at our gate, at our home, in the mountains of Haiti. Her mother was sick and thought she was dying. She wanted to make sure someone would take care of her children when she died. The lady’s name was Madamn Jesula (which means, Jesus is here!) We sent Madamn Jesula to the hospital and found out she was hungry and anemic. We took her and her two children into our orphanage.
Today, Esther, the younger girl, has finished high school and works for us, and Madamn Jesula has a job also. Widlene is in college to become a “professional cook!” We are so proud of these children who love the Lord!!
