“And he (Moses) led the flock to the backside of the desert…” Exodus 3:1
Moses, who dined on the best food, who had worn the jewels and clothing of the Egyptian Pharaoh’s household, was now a sheepherder for his father-in-law. While caring for the sheep, he came to the mount of God, Mount Horeb. Have you ever felt you were on the “backside of a desert?” Maybe you have lost your job, or lost a loved one or been through a divorce or had trouble with your child, and you feel so very alone. You feel as though you are on the “backside of the desert.” But, this is not a bad place to be; it’s a good place. God has you there for a little while so that He can commune with you, and lead you to “green pastures,” to a place of joy, comfort and blessings. When Moses saw the “burning bush,” he said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight.” Be ready for God to tell you to “turn aside,” so that He can talk to you. Blessings! Bobby and Sherry
