“David recovered all…”
1 Samuel 30:19… This is the story about the Amalekites invading David’s city, Ziklag, while David and his men were in another city. They returned to find the city burned to the ground, and their wives and children taken captive and all their cattle, sheep and everything else gone. The grown men (warriors) wept, and then they got angry with David and threatened to stone him. When David prayed, God allowed him and his army to smite the enemy and “David recovered all…”
Have you ever lost anything that was precious to you? Maybe you are one of those hit so badly by the hurricane and floodwaters that took everything away? Or, maybe you lost your job, or went through a divorce. God is the great restorer!
“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm…” (Or, I will restore the happiness that you had…) Joel 2:25 – God loves you so much! Yes, you may have lost everything, or something precious, but God sees your future, and it is blessed and bright. Don’t be discouraged!
