DON’T SELL OUT!

“And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright […] Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he (Esau) sold his birthright unto Jacob.” Genesis 25:31-33

Esau was the rightful heir and the elder son of Isaac. He would have received a double inheritance from his father, but he sold out for a “pot full of beans,” because he was hungry.

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Mark 8:36

The woman who raised me, since I was two weeks old, was a mother to me. We lived in a very tiny “junk house.” Yet she was very rich with many bank accounts, up to the limit of the FDIC. When I was 16 years old, I came to the Lord. I had a supernatural experience that turned my life around!

My mother was deeply into witchcraft. She told me that if I did not stop going to church that I would lose my inheritance and she would kick me out. I went to church the next night, and when I came home all of my clothes were in the backyard thrown on the ground. I left that night, at the age of 16, and never went back home.

My mother died and left a fortune to a “gypsy-witchcraft woman,” who did Ouija boards with my mother. Yet I received an inheritance from the Lord worth way more than money can buy! We have an inheritance in heaven, “incorruptible, undefiled, [where thieves cannot break through and steal] and that fadeth not away…” (1 Peter 1:4)
