“The God who never changes…”

Life goes by so fast… It is like a “vapor of smoke…” One day you are a child with no worries, playing baseball or other games, and the next thing you know, you are getting notices from AARP and your hip hurts! You go back to your hometown, and it is not the same… People have moved, died, divorced, and things have “changed.” Politics change… Things that were once “bad” are now “accepted.” Years ago, people used to be proud of our police and little boys wanted to grow up and be a “policeman,” but now they are humiliated and disrespected. Some things “change for the good,” but the whole world is “constantly changing.”

As Bobby and I say, “nothing ever stays the same.” The only thing in the world that remains the same, from the beginning of time, is God. He is the same forgiving, loving, healing, and caring God, since the first verse, “In the beginning God…” (Genesis 1:1) It is impossible for God to change. David said it like this, “But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.” (Psalm 102:27) “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” (Hebrews 13:8)
