“Go Look Seven Times!”

We Christians must be the most impatient people in the world! We love God, but we can’t wait too long on His answer! We want everything “instant!” But many times, that’s not how God works in our lives… He wants to see that we have confidence in Him, even if He does not move “right now!”

In 1 Kings 19, we have a great story of the Prophet Elijah talking to King Ahab. He knew that God was going to send rain to this dry land, and Elijah said to the king, “Ahab, get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.” Elijah went up to Mt. Carmel to wait on the rain. He told his servant to go and see if the rain had come, and his servant said, “Nothing!” Elijah said, “Go, look seven times!” On the seventh time, the servant said, “I see a little cloud like a man’s hand!” And Elijah said, “That’s it! Let’s go!”

I encourage you to keep “looking for your miracle,” even if you must go look “seven times!” It’s coming!!!
