Word from the Mission Field

“God will put a hook in their nose, and a bridle in their lips!”

A day ago, I was walking up and down at our orphanage in Haiti and began praying and asking God to protect us from the gangs. They are only ten miles from us. Between us and the gangs is the town of Ganthier, where the brave police are trying to hold back the gangs. This puts us in a very rough situation. We are completely dependent on the Lord. There is no one coming from the United States, Canada, or anywhere else to save us.

I was reading the book of 2 Kings, Chapter 20. Hezekiah was the King over Judah. He was a Godly man. But after a short time, Sen-nach-er-ib, King of Assyria came against King Hezekiah, and was going to take over the kingdom. His threats against Hezekiah were hostile, and he “made fun” of the living God! But Hezekiah went to prayer… The Lord heard his prayer and sent the Prophet Isaiah a message to his enemy, the King of Assyria. God said, “…I will put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.” (2 Kings19:28) I began to pray and ask God to put His hook in the nose of the gangs, and His bridle in their lips, and that God would take over the whole situation and defend us!

I kept praying as I felt the Spirit of God come upon me… So, I give these to you, whoever is fighting a battle today, no matter who your enemy is, God can do the same thing for you!!!! Do not fear!! We are on the winning side with the Lord!!! Now, let’s give God the praise!
