“There is Nothing too Hard for God.”
When you live in a foreign country, like Haiti, especially now, your faith is tested in ways you have never known. We used to be able to “drive anywhere in Haiti, in safety.” But not now. We cannot even go to the grocery store, we have to have someone on the other side of the gangs, bring our food in and we have to pay a special driver. We have had to take our older children out of college due to the gangs, and then, find another apartment further away from the gangs. If someone is critically ill, we cannot get them to one of the good hospitals.
Our older college students missed “having Christmas” at the orphanage because they could not come, due to gangs. Getting food to the poor villages is much more difficult, and some villages we used to feed, we no longer can.
But, the Lord reminds us… “Ah Lord God! Behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.” Jeremiah 32:17
Bobby and I have told God, “We cannot doubt you, Lord, no matter how bad things seem!” Because “there is nothing too hard for thee.” When you pray, just remind the Lord of His promise to take care of our work in Haiti. Thank you.
