“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

I know that most people have heard that four of our older kids were kidnapped by the gangs several years ago, along with one of our Love A Child nurses. Our three girls and the nurse were held in one building, and our older boy, Pistache, was in another building. Each night, our older children saw people being tortured and sacrificed to Satan. One nurse looked out the window and saw the gangs giving away body parts to sacrifice to Satan! This would have almost killed anyone just to see this, but our nurse saw this, had a heart attack and died. Our other children were soon released after a few days…

The Bible talks about “the spirit of fear.” This particular spirit was the “spirit of fear,” according to 2 Timothy 1:7. This spirit is so powerful that you could die from fear itself… just like our nurse did. But God gave us a sure protection. We do not have the “spirit of fear,” but we have the spirit of love, and of power, and of a sound mind! God is on our side!
