“He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” Proverbs 19:17

God watches over the poor and He uses “you” to take care of their needs. When we give to the poor, we are, in reality, giving directly unto the Lord… And He will pay us back.

After living here in Haiti for 28 years, it is so frustrating to see the “wealthiest of the wealthiest” driving the most expensive cars, living in mansions, and even having Arabian horses, while the poor are trying to make a living just barely getting by each day. There is always a mother at our gate with a child or an infant they cannot feed. God doesn’t use “angels” to feed the hungry… He uses you and me… We are the hands and feet of Jesus.

Today, look around you… Always be aware of those in need and let your heart be touched with the “cry of the poor.” Great blessings come upon those who help the poor!! Sherry
