I love the scriptures about “helping the poor.” When we do “food distributions,” we give each mother a box of “Feed My Starving Children” food. Most of the time, we give mothers a “bag of cold water,” because they are thirsty and have come a long way. We have been doing this so long that we don’t even think about it, but I just read a scripture in Matthew 10:42 again… “And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water, ‘only,’ in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.” A cup of cold water is a small thing to do, but when we do it unto the Lord, it becomes a “great thing!” Whatever we do, let’s put “Jesus first in it! Let’s give Him all the thanks, all the Glory.
