“When God Sends the Lion.”

Have you ever wondered why you have trials? Do you ask yourself, “Why am I going through this? Did I sin? Is God punishing me? The answer is “no.” God is not punishing you. He’s making you “tough!”

In 1st Samuel 17:33-37, young David is standing before King Saul. The word has gone out that this “teenager,” is ready to fight the giant, “Goliath!’ As this young man stands before King Saul, David has no fear! He will tell the King that he is ready to meet Goliath! He has already “passed the test,” with the lion and the bear! He is ready to meet Goliath “head-on!” He is not “weighed down,” with armour, but with the “Spirit of the Lord!” God has already prepared him for this battle, by sending him a “lion and a bear,” to fight! David knows that God is on his side! The “giant,” has “no chance!”

Do you sometimes wonder why God has put you “face to face” with “lions and “bears?” He knows that “your Goliath” is coming! We might wonder why David chose “five stones” instead of “just one?” Perhaps he thought that “Goliath might have four brothers!!”

God is “on your side!” He has given you “faith!” Do not fear!!! Get your sling ready!! Have a blessed day because “God is on your side!!”
