“The Backside of the Desert.”
Ever been there? Did you feel all alone? Like no one cared? Did you feel like God was a thousand miles away? Did you feel like, “He was punishing you for something?”
Exodus 3:1 “Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.” This is where God could talk to Moses. Remember, he was a “big-wig” in the courts of Pharaoh, until he killed an Egyptian, who had smitten a Hebrew. Moses had to flee from the face of Pharaoh. Now, he was no longer in the courts of Pharaoh, rich and exalted… He was a “lowly keeper of the flock.” God had to bring him to the desert so that He could speak to him. Sometimes, we are so caught up in things, that we can’t hear God. God spoke to Moses “out of a burning bush.” He led God’s people (about 600,000) through the desert from Pharaoh’s bondage to the “land of plenty.” Today, if you are on “the back side of the desert,” open your heart. God wants to speak to you. He has a “better plan” than you have!!! Have a great day and “enjoy the backside of the desert” with the God of Moses! Sherry
