STOP LOOKING IN THE REAR-VIEW MIRROR…
“Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3: 13 & 14
One time a preacher picked me up to go driving with him. I noticed he was always looking at the rear-view mirror. He “kinda scared me;” his eyes were always looking at the rear-view mirror. I thought, “maybe he thought someone was following us?” I asked him, “is someone following you? The police, someone looking to harm you?” He said, “no. I just have a habit of looking at the rear-view mirror while I’m driving.” I told him to “please, keep his eyes on the road in front of us!” We’ve already passed “that which is behind us. The best is in front of us!”
Some people can only live in the past, some only dwell on the past. I’m looking towards the things in front of us! God has great things in store for us! My past has a lot of misery, but my future is the best to come, trusting in the Lord!
