Where is your treasure?

I remember when I was 16 years old coming home from church one night… My mother kicked me out of the house. (The woman who raised me since I was two weeks old.) She told me that if I ever went back to the church down the road or any church, that she would kick me out of the house, and I would lose my inheritance. We lived in a shack, but she had a lot of money in a lot of banks. Well, I was kicked out on the street, and sure enough, she left all of my inheritance to a fortune gypsy lady. Mom was really into witchcraft, fortune-telling, etc. I told her not to worry about me… “I have inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.” (1 Peter 1:4)

We have true “treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” (Matthew 6:20-21)

Wealth and prosperity are wonderful, but our true treasures are not of this earth!
