“How Low Would You Go?”
Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, had been given deliverance unto Syria… but he was a leper. He was told by a young captive little girl to go see the Prophet that was in Samaria. Elisha sent him a message saying, “Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean…” Kings 5: 3-10 — But the Bible says that he “got very angry because the Jordan was too dirty for him to wash in, so he turned and went away in a rage.”
How often have we told the Lord that “we would do anything for Him, and yet, when He tells us a small thing, we have too much pride to do it?” Naaman “almost missed his blessing because of his pride.” However, his servants talked him into “dipping seven times into the muddy Jordan,” and Naaman was healed. “How low would you be willing to go, to obey God’s voice?” Don’t let pride steal your blessing!
