“The God of the Valley” – Isn’t it easy to praise God when things are going well? We all have the victory, our kids are doing well, etc., but when we go through the “valley,” we seem to lose faith. We have a friend named Ron. He was a pastor and his favorite song was “God of the Valleys.” One night, his wife left to pick up a woman to take her to church and she was killed when someone ran a stop sign. Then, after that, his teen-aged son was killed in a car accident. We went to the funeral of his son. Ron bravely got up and sang “The God of the mountains is the God of the valleys…when things go wrong, He’ll make them right.” I still cry when I think of Ron singing that song at his son’s funeral. Today, Ron is remarried and has another son. God is the God of the good times and the God of the bad times. He is still God! Blessings! Sherry
