“The Race is On…” Have you ever watched the Olympics on television, or a high school match of athletic runners? They are all “in the race to win,” and everyone is watching them. These people are athletes and they would never “run” with anything that would slow them down. They also know that “everyone is watching them.” “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” Hebrews 12:1 – Remember, we are in a “race” until death, or until Jesus comes…and “all eyes of the world are on us.” Let’s not carry any “weights” in this race.
