Years ago here in Haiti, we were invited to a holiday party by a wealthy lady. We looked around and everyone there was very rich. There was not one person at the party who had a need. What would happen if we had a “party,” and invited the poor, those who don’t have “nice clothes” or food to eat? It would probably be the best day of our lives…
“And the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.” Deuteronomy 14:29 – It has always been God’s plan for his people to take care of the hungry, the widow, the orphans, and the stranger. Let’s be sensitive to the spirit of God wherever we are. God may have “that one person” for you to help today. Blessings, Sherry
