“It is I…” Matthew 14:27 – Years ago here in Haiti, we had a team go to La Gonâve Island, a small island off the main coast of Haiti. After doing a Mobile Medical Clinic and facing a storm, we had to take a small boat back to the mainland. There was another storm and I was very concerned about the team, but they all began singing and praising the Lord! Suddenly, the Spirit of God filled the little boat and we were back on shore. The Disciples in Matthew 14 faced a huge storm and they were afraid, but Jesus appeared “walking on the sea,” and saying, “It is I; be not afraid…” Always remember that “Jesus is the eye” of your storm!
