My mother passed away several years ago, but she taught me several scriptures that still stick in my mind. One is Jeremiah 12:5 – I had been complaining about a trial Bobby and I were going through and she said, “If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? And if in the land of peace, wherein thou trusted, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?” – When God sent little David to fight the lion and the bear, God knew that David would soon be fighting “Goliath.” So, the battle you are fighting now, God has allowed it to make you “tough.” There may be a bigger one coming!
