“I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12 – Years ago, Bobby was learning how to fly a plane. I remember the day he came home and told me that he was learning to fly IFR, and that he had to learn to “trust his instruments.” He had to learn to trust the instruments even in a storm, or that the plane was flying level without looking outside, but only using the instruments. The instruments do not lie! Your eyes and your senses tell you one thing, but the instruments are always right. This lesson paid off. He was in a bad storm by himself, and he kept his eyes on the instruments. If he had not, he would not be alive today. Jesus is the light!
