Today is “work day” here at Love A Child “Children’s Home.” Yesterday, it was “closet inspection” (and I’ll show some of those pictures later) but today, no school, and we are headed into Mardi Gras, with a whole week off.
Since the kids have off, I have to “keep em’ busy!” (smile). They are good kids. They just need a little “initiative to work.” I let them “turn up the Gospel music,” and they started scrubbing, cleaning, and dancing! Actually, they did a lot of dancing, while “working,” but I didn’t get those pictures! They had the Gospel music “really going on,” and everyone was laughing, scrubbing, cleaning, and having a great time!!
We now wake the kids up everyone morning at 4:30 a.m. with the song, “Every Praise!” The kids love it and the girls practice their Christian dances, “while they are cleaning and scrubbing.” Sampson, our rottweiler, is sometimes howling during the music but this morning, he was just “hanging in there,” enjoying it all!
The Book of Psalms talks about “praising God” in songs and dance. Our children love it! There are no movie theaters here, no skateboard areas, no swimming pools… so, music, singing, and dancing are what they love!! Bobby and I never thought we would survive in a house with 85 kids, all ages! But, “Love, is Something You Do!” Sherry
