Some of you know the story of this young man named Darius. During our Mobile Medical Clinic in the mountains of Peyi Pouri, his uncle came down from another village, (higher up than we were), and said his nephew was dying, and he was too sick to walk to the clinic. We sent our new four-wheel drive ambulance, that was donated by Faith Church, and it “climbed the mountain” to get to the young man. We brought him down to our Mobile Medical Clinic, and then to our Jesus Healing Center… From there, the doctors diagnosed him as having a staph infection and several other things…

They referred him to a hospital here in Port-au-Prince, but they did not accept him; the driver took him to another hospital, but they would not accept him either. Finally, we sent him to Pastor Claude’s Hospital named Ebenezer. He was there for several days. We gave his mother money for food and bandages, etc. He needed lots of blood, and some of our friends donated blood. He had transfusions for three days and was getting better, but the doctors wanted to send him to a better hospital, in Mirebalais. He was there for one day and last night, he died at 9:00 PM. We felt so badly about his passing.

Today, our ambulance had to take a body bag, and leave the Mirebalais Hospital (four hours from here), and then travel up past Peyi Pouri to his village called Badji. It will probably take them 8 hours to take Darius back to his village. We really tried everything we could do, but he was too frail. However, his mother said that he was a Christian.
