A Haitian Creole Proverb:
“Nou pa mande pitit sanble papa-l, nou mande erez kouch…”
“We don’t ask that the child look like the father, we ask for a good (successful) delivery…”
Now, Haiti is considered the “poorest country in the world…”
Most Haitian adults and children do not have nice clothing to
wear, nor do they have a blanket for chilly nights. Their money
goes toward trying to find a handful of rice to feed the children.
Most of the orphanages in Haiti struggle each month to find enough
food for their children. This is why we share our food with so many…
When we receive wonderful new items, we love to
share them with other orphanages in need.
We recently visited a sweet orphanage in Léogâne,
run by our friend, Pastor Claude Mondesir.
We sponsor food for Claude’s orphanage each month…
When we receive wonderful items from our friends, like International Aid, we share
them with other orphanages and organizations that are doing a great job in Haiti.
We received so many items from International Aid that we do not have enough
words to say, thank you! It was like Christmas in the middle of the summer.
There were beautiful new blankets and towels. The ladies
who work in the orphanage were especially happy!
There were “baby and children’s clothes.” So, the pregnant mommy got these wonderful items!!! Wow! She was SO EXCITED!
We shared many blankets and other items with “the tiny ones…”
There were colorful school bags for the children!!!
They all love school and they were so happy!!!
Someone even sent in handmade pillowcases!
This is a blessing, especially for a poor orphanage like this one.
I’ll bet they didn’t have one pillowcase on any of the pillows!
There were lots of beautiful new tee shirts that the men and boys especially loved…
They loved getting a new shirt.
There were also brand new blankets for the children…
All of these wonderful items came from our friends at International Aid.
They send us a lot of supplies each month, and all of the supplies are
new and they are the “very best!”
On behalf of the poor people and the little children of Haiti, we want to
say a big THANK YOU to International Aid for all the wonderful items
donated not only to Love A Child, but to other orphanages too!
May the Lord abundantly bless you!!
