Are you being called to the mission field? There is no greater work than giving your life for the Lord. This work is never easy, but when God calls you, He will equip you to do the job.
We usually get a lot of women wanting to come to the Mission Field on short-term trips.
We also have many women wanting to come to our Missionary Training Center, but WE NEED GUYS, TOO!
We never know exactly how our days will go. We do make plans, but we understand that those plans may change and we need to be willing to go with the flow. Haiti is a rough country. It needs some “tough guys” willing to go into the “Regions Beyond” and take the Gospel to so many of those that need the hand of God to help.
Often getting to the “Regions Beyond” takes a man’s touch to get through the rough terrain. Things such as fixing flat tires punctured by thorns and broken parts that occur as we make our journey are just a few problems we encounter.
The Marines are always “looking for a few good men,” but “God is looking for a few good men” too!
Love A Child has many projects in the works. This year we saw the construction of the Grand Miracle Market come to life under the guidance of Pastor Mark Ostrander. He had a lot of help from his son Jesse Ostrander, Builders Without Borders, Nipper Construction and many other groups that understand the importance of “Helping Haitians Help Themselves.”
Each month, Mark Ostrander comes to Haiti with his son Jesse to help with the construction of the Agricultural Training Center, which is located in the back of Miracle Village. The Grand Miracle Market has also been one of their projects that would not have been possible without their dedication and knowledge.
They are up and working before “sun up” and we usually don’t see them until after the sun goes down. We thank them for all they are doing to bring our dream to fruition. Mark is the Project Manager over all of our large projects!
There is so much to do here in Haiti that we are looking for tough guys with all sorts of experience. Every job, whether it is great or small, needs the special talents of every man. We need medical professionals, engineers, organizers, farmers, scientists, pastors, and so many more. There is something here for every man who feels he is being called to the mission field.
There are so many different ways to help on the mission field. No task is too great or too small. Charlie was there to check the dossiers during a Mobile Medical Clinic in Despeezo.
Everyone has a job and they know exactly what to do. There are many ways to serve the Lord in Haiti.
We go high in the mountains to conduct Mobile Medical Clinics. Over the years, we have learned that healing physical pain also brings people to Jesus.
We are taking medical care directly to the Haitians in the “Regions Beyond.”
If it were not for the Mobile Medical Clinics, these people would be dying of illnesses that we can treat.
When we started working in Haiti, our plan was to share the Gospel with every creature. That is how we first began our ministry…by taking the Gospel to the “Regions Beyond.” It didn’t take long for the Lord to give us our first lesson in sharing the Gospel.
We were conducting a huge gospel tent crusade and thousands of Haitians were there. During the crusade, a young mother in the back of the tent held her baby high in the air and shouted, “If your God is so good, why is my baby so hungry?”
That night was a turning point in our ministry and we knew the Lord was trying to tell us something.
This was the beginning of our Food Distributions. We quickly learned that if you feed the hungry, they are far more likely to listen to the Word of the Lord. Simply feeding the poor has given us lots of Gospel teaching moments.
By coming to our Missionary Training Center next year, we will teach you everything you need to know to be successful working in foreign countries. Our Dominican Republic Outreach Programs have exploded with the power of God. This team went into prisons, sugarcane camps, held a huge youth rally, and so much more. They went out into the world to preach the Gospel.
Our outreach continues to spread into the Dominican Republic. There are many Haitians living there and working in the sugar cane fields. The Haitians working there end up living in very poor communities known as a “batey,” or sugar cane camp. Last year we had a special group of people reaching out in the Dominican Republic. This group included Greg Weitzel, Pastor Randy Landis and David George.
These “tough guys” brought their skills and talents to the mission field in Haiti.
Bobby and I want to share our experience and lessons that we have learned on the mission field with others. We are opening our Missionary Training Center in the “Regions Beyond” in the summer of 2015. This is not a Bible College, but a school of “hard knocks.” You will learn it all.

There is something for everyone to do here in Haiti.
We are looking for a “few good men” who are being called to the mission field. We have some women that have already signed up, but we have a few spots just right for some “tough guys” too!
