Today, we sent two large trucks, Pinzgauers, up to Peyi Pouri to deliver more medicines for our upcoming Mobile Medical Clinic. On the way down, our driver saw a pregnant woman trying to make it down to our Birthing Center. She had already delivered one baby, but another one was coming. When they carried her into the delivery room, the first baby had its cord, but the “midwife” had tied the mom’s sandal to it because “she didn’t want the baby to go back inside!”

When our truck arrived and they carried Madamn Joulen inside, they were shocked to see the sandal with the cord tied around it. Madamn Joulen had twins that both died. Then she had another set of twins… one lived, and one died. Next, she had one baby and then another. Now, she’s having twins. This is why we have the “Women’s Health and Teaching Center! She should have been in our program, which also provides birth control, as well as teaching! She could have died en route. It is a miracle that she and her babies all lived through this trauma!
