The Story of Donley

The very poor village of “Nan Plack,” Haiti, sits on top of a dry mountain. A 25-year-old mother, Madamn Roseline, has made this barren place her home. Everyone in this poor, dry village depends on their little garden to feed their children and make a living.

There are no schools, no churches, no clinics, no health centers, nothing! If someone gets sick, they depend on leaves, and that is all. When this doesn’t work, their choice is to go straight to a witch doctor or watch them die.

Her husband, Mr. Donald, was not able to feed his family with their small garden. When Madamn Roseline tried to talk to him, he beat her. Domestic violence continued after the birth of her third child. She thought about running away, but she feared for her life. Eventually, her husband abandoned her… He kicked her out, along with her baby, Donley Zamor. She lived on the street with her baby during the day and slept at night with anyone she could find. Day by day, her baby’s health grew worse, living on the street.

This morning, she somehow arrived at our Jesus Healing Center (JHC) Clinic, begging for “someone to save Donley’s life!”

We immediately admitted him to our JHC Clinic, and then our doctor sent the baby to our Malnutrition Center.

You have planted a “good seed,” and you will soon see the results of what God is going to do for this baby! Thank you for your love and prayers for Donley and his mother! God has a “bigger plan!”
