I don’t want to be critical but when I opened our post I saw some Red Cross tents. We were in great need of tents. The Red Cross came up with tents. We were so happy!! However, the person representing the Red Cross wanted $250 per tent. I was surprised that they were selling tents in a time like this. We only had enough money for 15 tents. We bought the 15 tents, while other injured children had to sleep on the ground.

Richard Hotes showed up from the Hotes Foundation the next day!! He donated several hundred tents at no cost! Thank you, Richard and Jesus!

I don’t want to be critical of anyone. Maybe the guy representing the Red Cross put the money in his pocket and the Red Cross knew nothing about it… we were under too much stress to find out.
