Future Electrical Engineer!

This is Stanley. You may or may not have seen him before, but he is one of our Love A Child kids. He came to us from an orphanage in Cap-Haitien when he was a young boy. The Creole there is a little different, so when he first came and was talking to our boys, there were words they did not know. They gave him the nickname of Kinam.

Stanley was always quiet and shy, but very obedient and hardworking. He has completed his last year of Philo in school. The Bible teaches us to be faithful in a few things, and God will make us rulers over greater things. We gave Stanley the very important job of keeping track of all our fuel. He has to give each vehicle a certain amount of diesel and no more. He also has to be there when the big fuel truck comes to put fuel into the tanks for the Jesus Healing Center, Birthing Center, and our main tanks. This is a lot of work, but Stanley is honest, hardworking, and diligent. He never complains at all.

A short time ago, he came and told me that in “his spare time” he has been working, each day, on electrical problems with one of our workers. Then he said, “Mom, I would love to go to college and become an Electrical Engineer.” We found a good college for him. He gave his day job to one of our workers, but he comes back each weekend to make sure he takes care of our fuel. He had been very faithful in a job that he probably didn’t like, but the reward is “he’s going to get his degree in four years!” Thank you, Partners! Stanley is one of the many who are the “future of Haiti!” Sherry

P.S. If you would like to help with our “College Fund,” please call 239-210-6107 and ask to speak with Rad. Thank you so much!
