Haiti Crisis: Low on Fuel

We are running low on fuel because we shared the last of our fuel with the Jesus Healing Center, Birthing Center, Gwo Maché Mirak (Grand Miracle Market), and Farmer John’s Butcher Shop. We were told another fuel truck would be coming from an area near Cite Soleil, accompanied by our driver, Casmi, but they’ve come upon several roadblocks and burning tires on the road today. They cannot make it today, but maybe tomorrow. It is safe in our area… We just have problems with lots of “guys” stopping our trucks and begging for food. Today, as Pastor Mark was leaving Love A Child to go to Pastor Claude’s Children’s Home to do some work, some guys on motorcycles surrounded him and put their motorcycles right in front of his truck. He slowly pressed his way “towards the motorcycle that blocked his way,” while telling them we cannot help them with food. He came “very near” to flattening their motorcycle. They pushed it out of the way. Food is like gold here in Haiti, and every day with this crisis it will become more valuable. Sherry
