Stanley, aka “Gwo Chat” (Big Cat), was thin and scrawny when he came to Love A Child. (All the kids give each other a nickname!) He came from another orphanage in Cap-Haitien where they speak a different kind of Creole. He was about 11 years old, or maybe younger, but he fit in quite rapidly.
Stanley is very honest and responsible. He handles all of the fuel that comes to Love A Child. He has to record everything that comes into the Jesus Healing Center, the Love A Child Children’s Home, and the Birthing Center. If the fuel truck comes late at night, he has to be there to make sure they don’t “short us” on fuel! If the fuel starts to run low, Stanley has to buy drums of diesel and gas for us. It is a big job!
Stanley is enrolled at University INUKA for Electrical Engineering! Stanley is a blessing, and we depend on him so much! Sherry
