The wonderful “Mobile Medical Clinic Team” will be leaving tomorrow! We had an outstanding clinic in the mountains of Lastik! We can’t wait to share all that the Lord has done! More news tomorrow (Saturday). God bless, Sherry
Feeding children in Haiti: 11-20-2015 11:00 AM
In 2013, we began sending food to Tree of Life Ministries to help them feed 270 children. This has now grown to 400 children. Every day, the one thing that is in our hearts and minds is feeding and helping these children here on the mission field of Haiti. They are struggling every day for food, education, water and just “to live.” God bless you everyone, who feeds and cares for the poor. Bobby & Sherry
Mike and Dave at ECHO Conference: 11-20-2015 8:00 AM
We are so proud of our Love A Child staff member Mike Sullivan and our missionary Dave Balsbaugh for setting up and working at the Love A Child information booth at the exhibit hall of the ECHO International Agricultural conference. Dave spoke about what Love A Child is doing in the area of development for sustainability to about 200 attendees from more than 20 countries. This is an annual conference where everyone shares Christ-centered ways to help the poor break the cycle of poverty. Way to go Mike and Dave! Sherry
Word from the Mission Field – 11-20-15
“Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 124:8 – Who greater to have on our side than the King of kings and the Lord of lords, who created heaven and earth by His Word alone! “As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even forever.” Psalm 125:2 – Do not fear! Have a great day! Sherry
Lionel – 11-19-15
This is Lionel, one of our Love A Child children. We have had him since his Haitian father got mad at him and held his hand in boiling water. That was two years ago. Since then, he has had several surgeries and a skin graft on his hand, but it is still not doing well. He goes back tomorrow to the hospital. Please pray for him…this is so sad. Sherry
Feeding the poor children: 11-19-2015 4:00 PM
Most of the children in Haiti find it difficult to find even “one hot meal” each day. This food we share with our partners is “like gold.” Oftentimes, bandits and thieves threaten us if we don’t give them food. We pray daily for our safety as we distribute food to the many villages where we minister. We also share our food with 73 other missionary organizations and orphanages, like this one at Pastor Genada’s, where poor and hungry children are being fed. Together, we can make a difference! Thank you partners! Bobby and Sherry
Update on Shalken: 11-19-2015 9:30 AM
We just returned from a wonderful Mobile Medical Clinic in the mountainous area of Lastik, Haiti! We will give a report later today about the wonderful things that happened.
Shalken has been going through more tests. When his host mom Beth took him for his tests, they saw some police officers outside and Shalken got to have his picture taken with them! What blessings for this child who has suffered so much. Sherry
Word from the Mission Field – 11-19-15
Good morning from Lastik, Haiti! All of our medical team slept in tents this week. Jesus said, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15 – Is the Lord calling you today? Bobby
Update from Lastik – 11-18-15
Hello from the interior of Lastik, Haiti! We are here with our volunteer medical team. Barbara MacMannis and Evie Ostrander, two members of our team, had to leave early. We are glad to have Dr. Deb, Dan, Sherry, Dr. Pat, Connie, Kaeli, Debbie, Shelly, Vicki, and Ken with us. Oriol, Rachael and Carlos are also with us, but they are not in the picture. We’ve seen a total of 1,449 patients in just three days, and we’ve given out 6,991 prescriptions and many came to the Lord! Bobby and Sherry
Day 3 of our Mobile Medical Clinic: 11-18-2015 10:30 AM
This is the third day of our trip into the interior of Haiti with our volunteer Mobile Medical Clinic team. Some families have walked for two days to get to this clinic! There is no medical help out in the regions beyond, so we are the only opportunity for these Haitians to get any medical attention. Love is something you do! Bobby and Sherry
