What a week for a father and son youth Little League baseball team to play the Dominicans, share the Word and feed the hungry in the Haitian sugarcane fields where they work so hard. Our house is not in immediate danger from the sinkhole yet. Our garage needs work because of the sinkhole, but the insurance people won’t do anything about it. Over the last two days, we have been working a lot on the manuscript of our book with Whitaker House Publishing. The book is called “Love is Something You Do,” and it will be released in October! You have never read a book like this! Bobby

“He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes…” 1 Samuel 2:8 – Truly, only God can do this. I am sure many of you remember Moses from our Love A Child Orphanage. His mother gave birth to him in a Haitian outhouse, and let him drop down to die. However, when the mother left, a man came and rescued him from the bottom of the outhouse. He ended up at our orphanage. God took him from the “outhouse” to the “big house.” God can raise up anyone and move him or her to a higher position! Have a great day! Sherry

This report just came in from Carlos and we wanted to share it with you. A message from Carlos, “Today, we played and won two great games in the Dominican Republic. The volunteer team from America won the first game with a score of 13-1, and the second game with a score of 6-1. They played very well! After the games, we went to our Love A Child Church where Pastor Carmela warmly welcomed us. We distributed over 100 portions of food in the area near this new church.” Thank you Carlos and Jesse for a job well done! God bless all of our partners for helping share the love of Christ. This is little Catiania from Malfort, Haiti. She is dying from malnutrition and she is only two-years-old. Our Haitian workers, a Haitian Pastor and Evangelist sent us these photos, as this is how they found her. She most certainly will die without help. We are going to do everything we can for her, please pray. Sherry

Redelande is just one of the many children who suffer from the lack of food in the mountains of Haiti. She works very hard gathering sticks to sell for charcoal, or trying to find small trickles of water for her family to drink. She is another one of our “neighbors” that the Lord wants us to care for and love. We just took food to her village last week. Thank you partners for helping to feed the poor. Sherry

I know we have talked about “divine favor” before, but you can never talk about it enough. “But the Lord was with Joseph, and showed him mercy, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.” Genesis 39:21 – It goes on to say that the keeper of the prison put everything under Joseph’s hand and “everything he touched prospered!” Wow! We received a wonderful gift from God! This gift of a diesel ambulance was desperately needed. We make so many emergency trips to the hospital with pregnant moms, accident victims, and others that we really needed a diesel ambulance. This is Barbara MacMannis, our Medical Director of the Jesus Healing Center, standing with our new ambulance. She is doing an excellent job! The Sports Mission International Team from the States, led by Jesse Ostrander and Carlos Silvestre had their second baseball game today with the kids from La Romana. Carlos sent the following message and we wanted to share it with you. “Game 2 – DR won 5-2. It was an amazing game and the most important thing was that we all had fun and shared the Gospel.” After the baseball game, they all went to distribute food to the poor Haitians that work in the sugarcane fields. Yesterday, the Sports Mission International Team from the States traveled to the Dominican Republic and played the Dominicans in San Pedro to a tied game. San Pedro is the home of the famous baseball player Sammy Sosa. Today they will play the kids from La Romana.
