Sharing our Food: 8-16-2015 4:30 PM

“Ti Rose” is a poor mother who lives in the mountains of Haiti with ten children, seven of whom are shown here. She is receiving food each month, because “you share with us,” and “we share” what we have with 70 other missionary organizations each month, like Mike at International Faith Missions. It takes two “40-foot” containers of food each month to share with other missionaries. In addition, we need six more containers of food each month for our own schools, family feeding programs, orphanage, medical outreach and more. When you give, just remember the smiles on the faces of these children and know that you are “blessed” according to Psalms 41:1-3. Bobby and Sherry

Word from the Mission Field: 8-16-2015 6:00 AM

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” John 14: 13, 14 — Don’t be afraid to ask in the name of Jesus! The Bible says we have not because we ask not. Have a blessed Sunday. Sherry is recovering in Florida: 8-15-2015

Sherry had surgery this past Monday on August 10th, here in Fort Myers, Florida. She has been recovering slowly but is doing very well and in good health. I will be returning to Haiti next week for just a few days and then I will come back to be with Sherry. The sinkhole situation continues to be the same up in Trenton, Florida. We have people looking at it and giving us a price on the repair. We will have to remove the entire garage from the house, fill in the hole, then put in new cement, and finally they will put the garage back. We have a small condo here in Naples because the office used to be located here. When I brought Sherry here to recover, the entire ceiling was leaking water from the condo above us!! We had to move into a hotel down the street. Today big blowing machines are here blowing and drying the carpets and more. My mom always said, “When it rains it pours!”  Rad Hazelip, our Love A Child Assistant Director, Ken, Barbara and all the Haitian staff are doing a great job in Haiti. So much has been accomplished. We miss our children, though we talked to the girls last evening on the phone. Thank you for all your prayers. Bobby and Sherry

Word from the Mission Field: 8-15-2015 7:30 AM

A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people.” An angel of God said to Cornelius in a vision, “Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.” Acts 10: 2, 4 — Alms means giving to the poor. Cornelius gave to the poor often and this came up as a memorial unto him even until today. Bobby

Sarah – 08-14-15

This is one of our older orphans named Sarah. She has been with us since she was very young. Sarah’s mother died and her father abandoned her and her brother, Joseph. When Sarah first came to the orphanage, she was sickly and suffering from Kwashiorkor malnutrition. We didn’t think she would live, but God has a plan for this young lady. Sarah enjoys singing, playing musical instruments and going to school. Thank you partners for changing her life. May God bless you. Bobby and Sherry

Word from the Mission Field – 08-14-15

The Lord gave me this thought several years ago. “Love is not something you just talk about, love is something you do.” May the character of Christ and His love shine through us today. God is love. In this hurting world that we live in today, people need God’s love. Let’s be an example as Christians. (Ephesians 3:19) Have a blessed Friday. Bobby

Erika: 8-13-2015 8:30 PM

You may remember one of our orphans, Erika. Her mother died shortly after giving birth to her, so poor Erika had a very rough start to her life. She was taken care of by a woman in another village for several months, but became severely malnourished with a terrible contagious skin infection. By the time we found her and brought her to the orphanage, there had been some brain function damage. She was given nutritious food, her skin condition was treated and she was given lots of love. Erika has some mental development delay and trouble with her speech, but she is a very happy, loving young girl and brings joy wherever she goes. Love is something you do. Bobby and Sherry

Delayed on installing playground – 08-13-15

Today we were hoping to send John Beasley, Louis and Philemon to an orphanage called “Heart For Haiti” to install a new playground. Johan Smoorenburg is the founder, director and our dear friend. We thought we had the equipment in stock, but we don’t. We want to purchase a larger playground for them because they have a whole bunch of children. Ha! Love is something you do! Bobby

Word from the Mission Field – 08-13-15

“Who is so great a God as our God? Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people.” Psalm 77:13-14 – David knew his God was a great God! The shepherd boy had killed a lion and a bear with his bare hands, and won great victories. Today, look up! We serve a mighty God that does wonders! Be blessed. Bobby and Sherry
