We heard Pastor Matthew Barnett of the Dream Center speak the other day. He has the heart of a missionary. He said, “I don’t ‘have to’ serve the poor, I ‘get to’ serve the poor.” It touched our hearts and brought tears to our eyes. For all of us who grow “weary in well doing” every once in a while, we say, “chin up!” We don’t have to serve the poor. We get to serve the poor! We share food with these children each month. God bless Chuck Martindale for his great work among the children! Sherry

Word from the Mission Field – 11-07-14
We are serving a Lord who took five loaves, two fishes, prayed and blessed it. He fed about five thousand men, beside women and children. When they were finished eating, Jesus had twelve baskets of food left over. (Matthew 14:17-20) Let the Lord bless your basket today. I just loved reading these scriptures early this morning. Bobby
Poor church in Haiti – 11-06-14
This very poor Haitian congregation calls this their “church.” It is on the top of a mountain that is very difficult to reach. Pastor Souffrance ministers this church and we give them food each month. This picture was taken following a food distribution after a crowd of 500 people had already gone. I wanted to show you the pathetic shape of this church. This has really broken my heart. I think it breaks the heart of God too. We should never again complain about air conditioning, chairs, or how long the service is in any church. Sherry
New Playground for the Children of Oriani: 11-6-2014 9:30 AM
We wish to thank Life Church for sponsoring a playground for the poor children in the village of Oriani, which is located high in the mountains of Haiti. Life Church sent Ramon to work with some of our workers including Carlos, Philemon, and others to install this playground. Thank you Life Church, Ramone, Carlos, and everyone who helped! God bless you! Sherry

“And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity (love), it profiteth me nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:3 – Let’s read the 13th chapter of 1st Corinthians today. It’s the LOVE chapter. May the love of Christ shine through us today. Bobby
Feeding Kitchen Update – 11-05-14
This is the “Feeding Kitchen” that is being built in Le Tant next to the school and church building. Now, there are children going to school here and eating every day, but the cooks have been cooking over an open fire, near the pigs with dust blowing in the food! Now, they will have a nice, new kitchen and food depot to cook and secure the food for the poor children! We thank Senior Pastor Doyle Hart and Lead Pastor Elaine Britt of the Academy Cathedral in Inglewood, California for sponsoring this project! God bless you, Sherry
Meet Pastor Sorel: 11-5-2014 10:00 AM
Meet Pastor Sorel. Do you notice the circle burned into his forehead? As a child his parents had this circle burned into his forehead during a Voodoo ceremony. He lived in a mud hut with his daughter Valencia who ate dirt, charcoal ashes, and goat feces. He now lives in a nice house and works as a firefighter, and he is a pastor at the new church in Le Tant. He also has a motorcycle. His beautiful daughter is now 15 and in good health. So I would say, Yes, the Lord, “He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill…” 1 Samuel 2:8 – Sherry

I remember a short time after our marriage; Sherry said to me, “You don’t show me that you love me anymore. You don’t open the car door for me like you did when we were dating.” Well since then, I try to open Sherry’s car door at least 95 percent of the time. “Love is something you do!” Bobby
