We had a wonderful Mobile Medical Clinic in Peyi Pouri. We do not have all the numbers in right now to give you, but on the second day alone, we saw over 1,000 people! (Look for another post later today with more information.)

We usually bring in volunteer teams from the states, but due to the violence in Haiti, we could not do this, so, we “borrowed” six doctors from our Jesus Healing Center, two “midwives” from our Birthing Center, and some more help! We were blessed to have Evie Ostrander and David George come in from the states… they have been to Haiti “many times” and of course, Jessica Lackey is here at Love A Child with her husband, Doug. Jessica helped me organize this big Mobile Clinic and she worked in the “Pharmacy.”

Many people received eyeglasses and everyone was ministered to. We even cooked food for the poor who had come from far away. We also brought in blankets and warm jackets for the mountain people. We had three emergencies in one day and had to send three babies to the hospital. Two were malnourished and one had a huge growth on the palm of his hand… all three were under the age of two.

We thank the Lord for blessing this clinic and for all the lives that were touched! Most of all, we thank the Lord for sending us wonderful partners like you, who have given, prayed, and encouraged us to continue on despite all the obstacles we faced! We love all of you!
