Saving Baby Georges

Poverty, disease, and hunger are killing Haiti’s children, especially toddlers. There are more gangs every day, taking over the homes of the poor, the businesses, and the roads! Working mothers like Madamn Georges find it hard to get to the market with gangs everywhere! When their children are sick, they cannot make it to a pediatrician, “even if,” they had the money.

When Baby Georges was just a year old, he had already developed severe malnutrition. He was so weak he could hardly sit, he had diarrhea and vomiting. His parents were poor and could not afford to take him to a hospital, and even if they had money, most hospitals have closed due to gangs! Someone told the baby’s parents about our Jesus Healing Center. The parents took a chance to make it to our clinic. When our doctors examined him, there was no doubt he would die unless they let us keep him, until he could be released! They immediately sent him to our Malnutrition Clinic!

We prescribed him olive oil-based foods… “Plumpy Nut,” specialized milk formula, which has to come from another country and other foods. After several months, his parents came back for him! Wow! Now, he will have to go on a diet!!! Ha! What a difference food, love, and prayer make!

We wish to thank Joyce Meyer Ministries — Hand of Hope for sponsoring our Jesus Healing Center each month, because malnourished babies come here first! We also wish to thank this wonderful organization, for sponsoring the building of our Malnutrition Clinic and all the furnishings inside it!! Thank you, partners, for sending toddler and baby boys’ and girls’ clothes! Keep it up! We still need crib sheets, flat and fitted sheets, diapers of all sizes, and clothes. You may send them to our Love A Child office: 12411 Commerce Lakes Dr., Ft. Myers, Florida 33913

Thank you and may God richly bless you so you can keep saving babies’ lives, like “Baby Georges!” We love you.
