Poor children in Haiti have little time to be “children.” By the time they are five or six-years-old, they are taught to carry heavy loads on their heads, make fires, look through the trash for something to sell… everyone works. Most of these children do not go to school. This young girl has never been to school, cannot write her name or add simple math, that’s why “Child Sponsorship” is so important.
