“…Teaching a man to fish…”
The current session of the Agricultural Training Center (ATC) training course, “Sustainable Agriculture in Haiti,” is progressing very well. These eight students are happy to be learning many new life-giving gardening skills. They spent three days in the classroom learning the science of proper soil, moisture, and nutrients that plants need, and now here they are putting that knowledge to practice by making a good planting medium to start plants in pots.
This class is very grateful for the opportunity their sponsors have given them. They are learning together, working together, living together, and worshiping together to forge a better life for their families and communities. They have many more things to learn and practice during the next two weeks before their graduation.
We give a huge “Thank You” to those donors who help change so many lives by sending scholarship money and also to those organizations who are sacrificing to send their students for this experience. This training is producing a great harvest.
God bless you.
