Johnley was born on March 3, 2023. Sadly enough, he is another victim of malnutrition. He arrived at the Jesus Healing Center Clinic, wrapped in a towel, on his mother’s side. He was crying a lot because “his neck hurt and he was very hungry.” His mother had brought him from a distant mountain region.

Many children (and adults) in this region are suffering from malnutrition. Johnley’s father had abandoned him since his mother became pregnant. This meant that his mother would have to find a way to survive. Every day, his mother sat in the heat of the sun, breaking rocks into smaller rocks, to make “a huge pile of rocks to sell.” After a thorough examination, he was referred to our Malnutrition Clinic. Although his mother was “afraid to leave him,” she knew that if she did not, he would die a slow, painful death from malnutrition. As soon as she saw the nurses and the great care, she felt that this was the place where God wanted her baby!

Haiti’s children are suffering from severe malnutrition and mothers are in such despair, especially due to gangs blocking the roads. We are thankful to the Lord and thankful to Joyce Meyer Ministries — Hand of Hope for sponsoring the building of this beautiful Malnutrition Center!!
