Tison’s Story

Food and medical care are what the poor families of Haiti need to survive, in addition to “security.” This is little Tison’s Story…

Tison, age 24 months, lives in a poor, poor village called Balan. He is in the care of his sister (in the picture), and his grandmother. Tison’s father died, and his mother, Silianise, is “mentally ill.” Out of a family of eight children, two of these children died. There is no running water or flush toilet in this small “house” where nine other people are living.

His young sister had to make the one-hour moto ride to Love A Child with Tison in her arms. From a baby, he has only eaten grilled corn, no milk, no baby food, nothing good for his health… So now, he has come with severe malnutrition.

When he arrived at our Jesus Healing Center Clinic, he was so weak he could not talk or stand. He had been several days without food “because of lack of money.” When he came, he only weighed 9.3 kilos. He was sent for more tests, and to receive medicine, IVs, etc.

He was then sent to our Malnutrition Clinic, where we have a strict diet for these children, which includes F-75 Milk and a special peanut butter food.

But, after 11 weeks, he began to change. At that time, we started to give him less mild and more protein. He loves the Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) food!

When he goes back home, we will send him home with this special food and the FMSC Manna Packs. He will come back for periodic check-ups and is always be sent home with the FMSC food, that you sponsor!

It takes a “family,” of all God’s children to change one life! Some give a little, some give more… but everyone can pray! We appreciate the funds whether large or small or Widow’s Mite… God blesses it all! Thank you so much for loving the children of Haiti!
