Together, We are Saving Lives!

Malnutrition, among children in Haiti, is getting worse! The infant mortality rate year after year is going up! Many children live out on the streets, “abandoned by their parents.” They stick together to try to survive. It is not uncommon to see children caring for other weaker and younger children than others. This phenomenon is everywhere in the country of Haiti. We wish, when more of these days come, our Jesus Healing Center and Malnutrition Center will be able to continue to take care of those thousands of children with love, because when the country is reopened to normal, it will be a big load to carry. It is God’s plan, and He will provide. Our malnutrition clinic is considered a blessing for poor mothers and their children.

At the malnutrition center, we receive two categories of children: less serious children; who have a weekly appointment where they receive peanut butter (mamba)… they are from the PTA Program. Those who are more serious are hospitalized in the USN program so that they can undergo strict treatment based on a healthy and balanced diet. They remain hospitalized for eight weeks or more depending on each case. Before giving them an exit permit, we make sure that each child returns to their normal weight and we integrate them into the Supplementary Nutritional Program. They have monthly appointments with the mothers so that the doctors can reassess their gradual recovery. Each month, they receive a box of Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) rice for consumption at home… 216 meals!

These babies in the pictures were very seriously malnourished and now they are on the mend. They have toys and they are fed with all kinds of good food. We are so grateful that the Lord allowed us to build this wonderful Malnutrition Center for severely malnourished children… wow look at how happy they are!!!!! Thank you to our donors for everything! God bless you, Bobby and Sherry

Note: This would not have been possible without the help of Joyce Meyer Ministries — Hand of Hope. They sponsored the building and all the furnishings! Thank you, Joyce Meyer Ministries — Hand of Hope! And thanks to all partners who sacrifice, sending in large and small gifts, with LOVE!
