Everyone is working hard on the future staff housing building! Everyone is very excited! It is being built right next door to the Jesus Healing Center. All of the 49 staff, doctors, nurses, lab people, etc., will be living there five days a week. I believe only one doctor out of all of the staff has a car. (I notice in church Sunday we had several hundred people. My car was the only car there!) It’s much too dangerous for the staff trying to go home each day, and many of them live way too far away.
All of the doctors, nurses, lab people, etc., live “hours away,” and traffic is always backed up and “standing still,” sometimes for an hour! We must have every medical person inside the JHC building “on time.” So, that is the reason we are building the staff housing building.
We have a wonderful, caring staff! They are kind, professional, caring people, and we are blessed to able to have a nice place for them to stay. We are especially proud to have Dr. Barthelemy as our head doctor, and Mr. Nixon, as our administrator! They both are so sweet and kind and easy to work with, and they take their job “very seriously.”
We consider it a “great honor” to care for the poor in Haiti, and we thank the Lord for providing a good place for our medical staff to stay.
