“If God be For Us…”

Yes, those five words are guiding us each day… “If God be for us, who can be against us?” Rom. 8:31

Every one of us has trials and circumstances that we cannot control. Today, someone will be fighting a battle to save their child from drugs, to save their job, or to save their house; others will be fighting a battle to save their life or the life of a loved one. All we can say is, “If God be for us, who can be against us?”

Living in Haiti has led us through many dangers in the last 30-plus years. We have been in dangers on the road, dangers in earthquakes, dangers in hurricanes, dangers in the mountains, and dangers in the rising rivers… Now, we are living each day knowing the gangs are getting closer and closer. We believe that God will fight this battle because no one is coming in to help us, not even our own country.

Yet, we cannot leave all these people who count on us… and all the children here in our orphanage that surround us every day; that kiss us and hug us and call us “mom and daddy.” We completely depend on God!

You, too, have battles to fight today, but we are all using the same “Word of God…”

“If God be for us (and He is), who can be against us?” We believe that! We stand on that every day!!! No matter what happens today, God IS FOR YOU, SO WHO CAN BE AGAINST YOU?
