“Give Up and Let Jesus Take Over.”

“And behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind Him, and touched the Hem of His garment; For she said within herself, If I may but touch His garment, I shall be made whole.” Matthew 9:20-21

This woman, who had severe bleeding for twelve years, was an outcast from society. She was considered, “unclean,” for twelve years… could not go to church! She had to stay away from people. No one wanted to marry an “unclean” woman and now, she had spent all her money on doctors and was broke. She had no husband, no friends, and no way of making a living, and she was slowly bleeding to death! But, when Jesus passed by, she decided to get lost in the crowd, and quietly “touch the hem of His garment,” without anyone knowing what she did. You know the “rest of the story!” She was instantly healed!!!

When we have done all we know to do, we must then do what the song says, “Give up and let Jesus take over!” I heard this song sung by Happy Goodmans and the Gaither Family and I said, “That’s it!” We’ve done everything we could about this certain situation. So, now, I’m going to “Give Up and Let Jesus Take Over!” Today, that problem, that big weight, is too much for you… How about, “Give up and Let Jesus Take Over!!!!” The bigger the load, the tougher the job, the more He loves it!
